That’s the way most colleges work, sweetie. UGA is a fun school with high stat kids. Athens is a blast. If it’s not for you that’s fine. Time for you to move on.

UGA is a very hard admit out of state. It’s not about yield protection. They have one of the most transparent application processes. Look up the admissions blog. You need to recalculate your GPA to the UGA GPA also not what is on your transcript.

The enrolled numbers are always much lower, a lot of deferrals will turn into acceptances.

The most impressive stat is 10-15 AP’s for the mid 50%. 9AP’s and you’re below average, ouch. That’s public Ivy material.

It’s a public university. They have obligations to their in-state applicants over OOS. Why is this hard for people to understand. 80% in state is the requirement
