That will surely inspire more people to face guns, drugs, and lack of discipline in order to teach brats.

I think we all should know not to say The Word. And if we have said it somehow and are corrected, even if by a middle schooler saying "bro, you can't SAY that!" we should respond with an apology and a promise to do better.

They should be focusing on the staff member saying a slur rather than kids having their phones out during after-school hours.
Any concern about the kids who said it initially that kicked off this whole scenario in the first place?
Yes- those kids should be punished too. The adult involved is an idiot who made her situation worse by her own doing. Also the school principal needs to stop blaming the kids
And the kids said it initially?
What’s your point? People already said the kids should be punished also. But clearly, the adult should be held to a higher standard. And the audio I heard was so awful.
NP. The kids will not be punished. Anyone who thinks they will has not spent any time in public schools recently. That word is said and posted all day long by kids of various races, with and without the hard r. Mostly but not entirely boys.
The teacher should have to attend a RJ conference and maybe be provided a calming space in the building. It was probably a manifestation of being overstimulated and she might be dealing with something at home, too. We should all give her grace and space to process.

She says “My best friend is black” and “my son’s wife is Filipino” and “my daughter’s husband is Colombian” to justify it when told that she can’t say that. She then proceeded to say “I’m not wrong” and “you can’t call me racist I can say that word” to the students.
