OP here.
The pillows are incorporated into the whole bed "layering" plan. So they are put where they belong. In our last house, I had a different bed layering plan that did not involve the sleeping pillows, and yes--I had a specific spot in the closet for the pillows to go each day when I made the bed.

I also have a drawer in my kitchen where I keep potholders. I don't just leave them on the kitchen counter
I have hangers in my closet and drawers where I keep clothes, I don't just leave them in the dryer or in a laundry basket.

It never occurred to me that putting things away is a bold move.

Mine is on my nightstand 24/7. I remove the mask and tank to clean as needed. I do not recommend constantly moving it in or out of a drawer. That will increase the chance of either leaking water or breaking the internal parts. If you leave it in one place it will never leak. But, if that concerns you, place a loner or pad under it, duh!

Mine is on the bedside table/nightstand. It has a platform below the drawer and lives there. Fwiw, I rarely clean mine. I didn't even know there were filters to change until 6 months into wearing it, lol. I do change those now.

My husband's cpap stays on the bedside table while the tube is behind the headboard with the mask hanging over.

I opened this thinking how is there any possible answer other than the bedside table. OP, are you 85?

My man leaves his on the bedside table. We don't make our bed. It's on his side of the room and doesn't get in my way.

It seems like you are making a big deal out of nothing.

I'm willing to bet your DH does other stuff that bothers you and it's bubbing up in the form of his CPAP machine... this whole tiff isn't really about the CPAP machine.

I tell my partner every day how much I appreciate his using it. I know it's not the most comfortable thing, and it makes him feel old and unsexy. But he wears it because he snores without it, keeping me awake. The very last thing I'm going to do is make it worse for him by complaining about tripping over something that is always there, in the same place, and easy for me to avoid.

Nightstand, clean it in a bottle sterilizer when we remember.
