There will likely be a couple of hours of early release on the 24th. That's all that is likely. Don't get greedy. If you want the 26th off, put in for leave.

Why the strong reaction and Grinchy attitude? This is just meant to be fun speculation for feds who have had a rough year. I personally leave approved on 12/26. I am at my use or lose limit, so I hope to know soon whether I should switch that leave to another day or not. At any rate I have a lot of work to get done so I might not be able to use it in another day. C’est la vie.

Assume you have to work the entire day, and consider it a happy gift if you don't. Just as I have for many years. If you are that desperate to go home early a couple of hours on the 26th, put in for annual leave.

I don’t see how this is a Trump bashing thread? Anyway, if you feel that way, just ignore it. This thread is meant to be for fed workers to speculate about something that affects them. Unlike most people I know in the private sector, our office doesn’t close between Christmas and New Year with paid leave.
