No. I can buy myself things anytime. I crdinate everything else Christmas - the least DH can do is get my gifts! (And do my stocking.)

I just buy what I want when I want. If its bigger, I'll sometimes email it to my husband to buy. Neither one of us really wants anything specific for holidays except on a rare occasion. My husband would buy me stuff but I rarely like it so he doesn't anymore.

I usually save new electronics for DH to buy me so last year was a laptop. This year I am holding off for the new iPhone so just asked him to get me a box of my favorite gourmet chocolate. He said he is getting me other things too, which usually means clothing, which can be hit or miss. I think it's sweet that he tries.

Yes. Basically. I don't buy it, but I have to tell him exactly what to get. I have finally faced the fact that if I do not tell him exactly what to get -- with a link -- that Christmas morning or my birthday or whatever will have zero gift for me and stress and remorse from him and blathering about "I didn't know what to get, I just haven't gotten you anything yet, what do you want, can we go get it?"

He literally can't do it. He opens gifts from me and thinks my ability to pick things he wants is magic. It's frustrated me for over 20 years, but isn't going to change.

I send my DH my list with links of exactly what I want and where to buy it. We try to make it a bricks and mortar store so he can take the kids to get it in person even if we have to pay a bit more.

I’m not interested in jewelry or random things. I have enough stuff. I save up things that I want for my birthday and Christmas. This year I want new ice skates, a rocking footrest for under my desk, and an electric can opener (yep, I’m left handed and I’m just over the manual ones).

I really don't want anything. I like some stocking stuffers though.

No. I send DH some ideas if he doesn’t have any. I point things out during the months leading up to birthday or Christmas. He doesn’t my stocking.

If I’m buying my own stuff, what’s the point?

We make each other lists, but sometimes if I am out and see something he won't be able to get (at a crafts fair for example) I will buy it and give it to him to wrap.

We do a secret santa for whole extended family. I give $$$ to my kids. I buy what I want for my family (usually clothes, accessories and gadgets).

My husband insists that I give him ideas because he wants it to be a surprise. Gifting is his love language. Not mine.
