Cdiff is highly contagious and can be really rough. And with kids in the mix - no f-ing way. When I enter a patients room with Cdiff I gown up and wash my hands afterward. I just don’t want it.

OP here - I looked this up. Human to animal c diff transmission is rare, but theoretically possible. Dog to dog transmission actually happens.
We told my in-laws that we are staying in a pet friendly hotel and bringing the dog up. My mother in law’s first request was to drop off the dog while we take the kids around the city. It is a lovely dog, but this made me laugh. I hope she doesn’t give the dog c diff…🙂
