If it is a rejection then we will all go outside and smash the 4 ceramic place settings I also bought that have the colors of each college they applied to. Of course we will not film that.

We did this for our oldest and it was great.

Why oh why?

Good ole days suspense, huh?

DD’s ED decision is expected Friday at 3. She plans to come home from school and take a nap and then open it. She’s her own person.

It made me realize how much stress these kids are under, and the best thing we can do is just downplay the whole thing. It’s a horrible process for high achieving kids.

Just for "high achieving kids"? Spare us all. It's a horrible, stressful process for ALL applicants.

My other kid wasn’t nearly as driven to go to a specific school. She was a fine student but wasn’t applying to selective schools. There was no stress at all. Neither approach to college is better. Most colleges in America are decidedly nonselective.

I’m opening it first so I can plan the “acceptance reveal” and film it. I’m thinking a cake that is the school colors inside once he cuts it, if he’s admitted.

lol.

Or, he could just open the text message and let us know.

Just because you see it on social media doesn't make something the norm.

True that is where I saw all the plans.
