It is the top midseason club meet on the East Coast. Period.

Thanks so much for chiming in Spencer

The 13-14 and Open groups are definitely much faster this year. My 13-14 swimmer is super excited to compete even if they are not a lock to final like they would have been based on last year’s times. Looking forward to seeing some fast racing at the 13 and over session this weekend.

What is a debate?

It's a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward, but that's not important now.

Lol, such a nerd. Anyway, what exactly is being debated here? That the meet this year is faster than last year, as stated in OP? Because it objectively is, at least for certain age groups. Nothing to debate.

I guess I am not sure about all age groups, but looking at boys 13-14 his current times would have placed in the top 16 in most events last year, but this year not a chance of making finals, he is ranked much lower! Should be fun to see a lot of fast swimming, but I’m shocked at the depth compared to last year.

The pysch sheet is definitely faster than it was last year. Obviously, the kids still need to swim. Looking at last year's results in the 13-14 boys age group, it seemed like the same boys were in every A final they swam (they were from NCAP, LIAC, Asphalt Green, Wilmington Aquatic, and QNS).

This year’s psych sheet definitely shows 13-14 boys as extraordinarily fast. Not great for my undeveloped 13 year old boy, but maybe it will help motivate him!

Turkey Clause is also a Championship meet for PVS. It is an opportunity for swimmers that can't make KLI that year.

Turkey Claus is an invitational. It’s also a prelims/ finals format.

But Champs meets are Open format - meet the qualifying time and you can enter.

And no matter how fast KLI is, or Turkey Claus is or isn’t, only certain clubs are invited, and therefore not open meets, and not Champs meets.

Turkey is an alternative mid-season, not a champs meet, as you stated to KLI or whatever other choice you do or do not have.

Please educate yourself.
