We're not scientific and not organized in their placement under the tree. A big part of my "job" as a kid was reading the gift tags and passing gifts out to the adults, so I guess I've passed that duty on to my kids. Stockings are filled and usually set on the ground if too heavy.

Santa is a woman and a mother. She can get all of it done.

I like to go for a visually pleasing display— really that’s my favorite part of Christmas— seeing the wrapped gifts under the tree. But my mom is always complaining about not having access to the tree light plug, the cat can’t get to the window, etc, and she rearranges. It’s a passive aggressive battle from Christmas Eve.
I like to sort of coordinate my wrappings— like one year I do earthy stuff and another year I do glitzy. But for the least few years I’ve been trying to use up what I have, so no buying new. When the kids were little I devoted one specific paper to Santa gifts.

Gifts are heaped up under the tree haphazardly, with a mix of wrapped presents (I wrap early then do all the bows last) and gift bags. Biggest ones deep under or to the side of course.
Everything is from Santa. I'm not one of those vain parents who needs my kids to think I bought them something. They no longer believe in Santa but it's still from Santa.
