And why would their math dept let a kid enroll MV calculus which is a college level math class if they were not college material?

Yes, so all you need to enroll in a super high level math class is a passing grade, yet the kid can’t graduate with that same passing grade that is deemed sufficient to enroll in that high level math class?

It was only waived because they did Algebra online during COVID and there was no way to administer the test. Your kid could have done it online that year and didn't. My kid has an exemption.
The requirement was waived for MCPS students in class of ‘26. OP’s dc is a senior in MCPS.
No, incorrect. It was waived for anyone taking Algebra during covid. On my child's transcript it clearly states it was waived and they don't graduate this year.
