They don’t hear Trump talking shit about them like he talks about non whites so it’s easier for them to convince themselves that Washington in general is at fault but not Trump.

My elderly mom moved to Texas into a "home" near my sister after my stepdad died. She's always been wildly racist, doing stuff like imitating her housekeepers accents and once giving one a giant frozen turkey as a "holiday tip" which turkey had to be carried home on the subway, instead of a cash tip.
