Amtrak auto train to Florida if you’re interested in theme parks and beach. Kids would definitely love the experience.

Like others said, SWFL (Fort Myers, Naples, Marco Island) is always a safe bet. Fort Myers Beach is still recovering from Ian, up to you if that matters. It’s not going to be hot or even warm but it’ll work - expect day time temps in the 70s and evenings will dip cooler. We spend half of December and most of January down there every year.

We found cheap flights to FL out of Philly, fwiw. Just booked them the other day.
