Agree on red roses. I like pink and I receive pink. đź©·

Serenades. My husband, who I love dearly, sang to me and I asked him to stop because it was just strange.

Any talk of someone completing someone else.

Turn ons: Singular/plural used correctly. Tee hee.

I'm the OP and not cold at all. I love flowers, just not red roses. I'm not super into poetry or having music played to me, but appreciate a man who can dance well.

Really large engagement diamonds that look like they would catch on things. Let's say the $5K and up variety.

I think large diamonds are less associated with wearers having major insecurity issues now that lab diamonds have democratized the cost. Because people don't assume $10K up prices anymore.

The thing that bugs me is the idea that it's romantic to buy a large ring instead of it being done for other reasons.

Woman who is not romantic. Any gift of flowers, all I can think about is the carbon footprint to fly them to the US to get them to me that is killing our planet for our children and grandchildren. Cards, wiping out the forests and such a waste of money.

Cook me dinner, spend the night talking and laughing and I'm happy as a clam

When a date shows up with a rose. I feel silly carrying a rose around and laying it on the dinner table.

What do you call it when you sit close to your partner with your head on his shoulder and he has his arm around you?

Holding hands. I think hand holding is for small children.

Here are my top three:
1. Red roses. To me, they say "I didn't ever bother to listen when you mentioned your favorite flower or be proactive and ask, so I will assume since that's what is done in movies all women are the same, and they're expensive and women are all about how much is spent on them, so I will get you red roses."
2. Reading or reciting poetry. It just makes me squirm.
3. Playing guitar and/or singing to me. Unless you are a well known professional singer or musician it's not anywhere close to how good you think it is. Also, part of why I dislike it is because I don't know what to do during this time - do I have to look at you the whole time? Clap at the end?

I don’t care for red roses either but love it if someone makes the effort to bring me flowers.
Love good poetry.
Looove being sung to, so much so i led a poor guy on in college for a few weeks because he would bring his guitar over and sing to me, and he WAS good.

The only thing i dislike is clinginess, spending every moment together….

The rest is all much appreciated and wonderful.
