How can you compare playing with blocks to high school. Or maybe both. This preschool was the worst experience we ever had - our kids learned nothing, were babied in a precious way, played all day, came home broken (when we then had to teach them handwriting etc.). And correct, there were so many applications for so few spots, that the staff held the power and made sure you felt that if you complained. Plus no one actually complains because they are too focused on getting a good exit report for kindergarten. Perhaps the fake smiles and inability to ask questions are why what happened was able to go undetected. Please don’t confuse popularity with substance (not that it is popular anymore). This is how bubbles are created - people buying because they see other people buying! And we all know what happened to this bubble…..

So you have no experience with the school?

I'm sorry it bothers you, but, yeah, NCRC was fabulous for my kids. They loved, my spouse and I loved their experience there and ours.

It's a great school.

The biggest red flag in this comment is referring to your preschooler as “broken” because they were still working on handwriting in preschool.

My two kids went there. It was ok. The playground was nice. The teachers were hit or miss. Some nice parents/ some insufferable ones. Some of the staff definitely knew who the socially prominent parents were and the children were treated accordingly. Some teachers were mean to three year olds for no reason.

NCRC incredible school and community - there are so many applicants for just a few spots - I don;t think they have trouble with matriculation -- there is a huge number of NCRC kids at my kids "big 3" lower school.

My kids are now in high school. NCRC was the best part of their educational experience so far. I would send my kids or grandkids there again in a heartbeat.

Note that the scandal involved only the head and no one else local/offline. I credit NCRC's solid security practices with protecting the kids.

We're in our 2nd year and love it. Visit and take the opportunity to see for yourself.

Depends on your disposable income--it's 40K/year full day and 23K/year for a half day. It is a nice school, but there are also good available free options and other preschools that are equally good.
