Our team won states and I never saw anything other than the team plaque. I know I saw another team at our school get rings in the same year, so either our sport is overlooked or my kid didn't care enough to pick it up. It's pretty annoying if the state association treats sports differently.
However, the booster club did make them shirts which is awesome because it gets worn! It's a school color that can be worn to spirit days or football games.
We had to pay for the ring, and I know not everyone bought one. The medal was given by VHSL. Letter and pins came from school.
