You didn’t say, so I’m assuming that looking for a side gig means that you’re not available during standard business hours. If my assumption is incorrect, you might want to mention it — since more opportunities might be available if your time is flexible.


Law students have tutors? Just asking because I'm a lawyer and if anyone at my law school used a tutor I certainly wasn't aware of it. I'm not saying it isn't a thing, I'm just curious because I've never heard of anyone using tutors in law school. We just used study aids.

How is your writing? I make money writing, but I have a grad degree in English in addition to my JD. You have to be willing to hustle. There are legal blogs out there, and there are folks who stable writers to ghost write legal content for blogs.

If you have the space, you could acquire and rent out stuff like tables, chairs, yard games, etc. Seems like easy money if you have a place to store things and flexibility during the day for deliveries (or coordinating DIY pickup).

I do 80% of my sales on Poshmark. 15% on eBay and the rest on a combo of Depop, Mercari, and Curtsy.

I did sell a few very high-end bags on The RealReal. They took a much bigger cut, but was worth it to me for their service.

I make that much doing remote document review, but you need to work 8 hours a day, and it sounds like you can’t do that during the window they require (usually 7 am - 10 pm).

Definitely, look into tutoring, either law students or those taking the LSAT. If you are a good writer, you might be able to help with essays, resumes, etc.

I resell clothes as a hobby. I thrift on Sunday mornings, and then clean, photograph and list things in the afternoon and through the week. I make about $1200/month before taxes doing it about 5-7 hours/week.
