Feel really bad for the girls with acne. I would not have kept my self confidence through middle school if I hadn't been able to master concealer, powder, and a bit pf blush to just look normal. Yes, I was under tthe care of a dermatologist.

She wears a very light/natural tinted lip gloss some days, and adds a subtle cheek stain sometimes when she wakes up early enough.

It started out with tinted lip balm, a little blush, Vaseline for eyelashes, then sneaking into my makeup bag for mascara. I just talked to her about setting limits on makeup when she went full face makeup to thanksgiving. I told her that at 13, she can only wear makeup for special occasions such as weddings and that she looks so much better with a clean face. Apparently all the cool girls wear makeup in school, especially mascara. I’m resetting expectations with her that she is limited to tinted lip balm for school, no mascara until high school.
