If you find yourself driving along the Hudson south of Bard, FDR’s house and the Vanderbilt mansion in Hyde Park are cool.

Have some good New Haven-style pizza while in Connecticut. There is a Frank Pepe’s at the Mohegan Sun casino near New London

In CT you can split the distance between Wesleyan and Conn by staying in Old Saybrook. If staying in Middletown, the Inn at Middletown is the best place to stay. Lots of options for restaurants around Wesleyan. Recommend Mondo for pizza, Perk on Main for breakfast/lunch. When visiting Conn, if Capt. Scott’s is open (seasonal) go there for lobster rolls.

Skip Bard, add Vassar instead.
Agree see bates and/or Colby. Prob bates based on your other schools.

Stay at Reclaimed Motel for the Bard visit - then get breakfast at Taste Budd’s or Mighty Donuts.

Visit Walkway over the Hudson and Dia:Beacon to break up the drive between Bard and Wesleyan.

Seconding the recommendation for the Brunswick Hotel next to Bowdoin’s campus. And dinner at Pomelia or Maine Street Bistro, followed by gelato at The Gelato Fiasco, which is often packed with students at night. Lunch on campus at the dining hall at Moulton Union is another good option if you time it right — great way to get a sense of the Bowdoin student body. At Conn College, check out Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock for lunch.

Also, in Canton, eat at Jake’s on the Water (technically in Potsdam/Colton- need reservations) or 11 West (much closer to hotels and no res usually needed). BW university inn has a restaurant too so no need to venture far from campus unless you’re exploring

We considered breaking it into 2 trips but DC preferred to just power through in one trip.

Okay. Fly into Syracuse and start in Canton- stay at the University Best Western or the Fairfield the night before the tour. Presuming you get a morning tour, head down the Adirondacks that afternoon / evening to Saratoga Springs. Again, have to tour in the morning. In the afternoon, head down to Bard. Stay over near there, grab another morning tour of the school and move out after lunch to Wesleyan. Tour it in the morning and get down to New London for an afternoon tour. Stay there that night. The next morning, you head up 395 to 290 to 495 to 95 into Maine and grab an afternoon tour of Bowdoin. Take a flight from PWM back home the next day.
