This is OP. As I said the bullying has escalated and I am trying to figure out what the school’s responsibility to inform the parents if they learn of an incident outside of school. If I needed advice on how to teach my kid to escalate, I would have made a separate post.

Anonymous wrote:My high schooler was approached by a group of peers and words were said and his property was damaged. One instigator slapped his hand and knocked his phone to the ground breaking it. There were patterns of micro-aggressions prior to the incident. It happened outside of school but one of the kids reported it to administration. We did not know that this happened and the admin never informed us. The confrontations have escalated since then and spilled on to the school property. Are there any rules that the schools at MCPS must investigate or inform the parents when they learn of instances of bullying even if it happened outside of school?
