That’s what you get for going to Mar a Lago.

Rich LOL

I am in the 1% of this country.

Most of my peers are fat, chubby, round, imperfect, and also too skinny.

We are fabulous!

What we are not is MAGA women at Maralago bad plastic surgery.

Persian? They seem to have their own money (oil checks?) and their professional salary is pocket change.

This is such an interesting question. Because it’s different in each case!

For the generational and old money wealthy, appearance matters much less. Of course they wear very expensive clothes and jewels but they also are unaware of their privilege and certain facets of their appearance are just normal to them. They dress for joy and lifestyle rather than out of a need to be perceived a certain way. Think of Zara Tindall or Prince Charles. They wear what they wear and have a charming unkempt kind of look about them.

Upper middle class professionals are usually what people refer to frequently in these discussions. These are usually type A people who are well educated and have really busy lives or productivity in earning a living. They are slender, as they exercise a lot, wear clean cut, understated professional clothes representing certain brands. They’re very conscious about how they appear and presently cleanly and neatly.

Upper class new money such as the Trumps or Meghan Markle. They’re rich AF and they want you to know it. Expensive and flashy clothes and hair styling usually dripping in luxury head to toe.

No wrong way to dress really.

Half the people you see are likely from NYC and New England so don't think it's the spot.

I feel like the truly wealthy have an effortlessness that can't be replicated.

Also, difference in old wealthy and new wealthy. Old wealthy always have the boarding school experience.

How do you know? Do you ask?

Nails perfectly manicured. That means shaped, cuticles pushed back and not ragged, hands not dry and chapped. Buffed or pale neutral polish. Toes can be red, pink, beige in season.

It’s often quite the opposite. Extreme wealth is rarely achieved without breaking laws, having sketchy ethics, or screwing a lot of people over.

I dunno. I am legitimately wealthy and I can’t tell these things much of the time.

Same. As they say there’s 2 rules at the club - never ask what someone does for work, and no cell phones

I don't know if good teeth= rich but it does tell you the person grew up with resources.

This is no longer the tell it used to be, especially because there is a not insignificant percentage of rich people who dont get the cosmetic dental work that the lower classes now do.
