Pretty close to our scenario, but with a 1500 SAT.

DD got her letter yesterday. She was offered the Presidential scholarship at $13,000 per year.
Not her first choice, but still exciting!

New poster. Still waiting to hear from Del for my DC.. fingers crossed, stats are good. But we haven't finished FAFSA yet. Will that hold up any merit decision if s they get in? We are OOS.

Have not received any merit yet. High stats kid who got acceptance a few weeks ago. Hoping for UVA in-state.

They have always done this, meaning they withhold a certain amount of OOS scholarship money and give it out later in the cycle. Some of it is used (as described above) to sweeten the deal for the Honors College admit kids who just miss the huge scholarships, and some of it is used for admits later in the cycle like your kid.

For next year (did DC just apply?). I’m curious about the timing. My own DC got an acceptance last week.

Yes, applied in mid-October, accepted in early November, received merit letter yesterday.

DC received Provost scholarship of $10,500 per year. 3.87 unweighted GPA, 32 ACT, psych major. Wasn't all that excited before, but it has moved up the list now!
