40s, hair falling out in clumps in the shower, sheds easily. Is there a shampoo/conditioner for colored hair that anyone recommends to preserve color and keep [what's left of] hair looking as full as possible?

Are your cats licking your scalp?
Also a cat lady.

No but I touch my hair quite frequently and also touch my cats.

I’ve been looking at toppers blunt, but would rather see/try them in person. Where do you find them?

I'm taking oral minoxidil in combination with spironolactone (which combats the water retention and prevents excessive hair growth in the upper lip/chin) plus using a laser cap. It's been three months and am only just now starting to see some baby hairs. My dermatologist said it would take 6-12 months.

I’ve been taking minoxidil for years and it’s done nothing except given me facial hair. I stopped a few months ago and recently got a shorter haircut for now. I’ve gone for a couple of wig/hair piece consults and am starting that research. There are a lot of great ones out there.

I don’t think laser will work on facial hair when you are still taking the minoxidil. It’s going to keep coming.

It works really well.

It drops your BP so your PCP could adjust the dose if minoxidil is doing the same thing. Had an issue with me too and that is what my PCP did.

I used the oral minoxidil and it worked great, except I noticed bloating and weight gain (due to water retention). My liver enzymes became elevated too. I’m a non smoker and non drinker, so that freaked me out. I stopped taking it, and all the hair I’d gained fell out. I’m now starting to take vitamins. You can take them separately or get Weem, which I’ve noticed is on sale for Black Friday. I have a lot of vitamins at home, so I’ll use those up first.
