Blended family- 14 year old who wasn't allowed one in the room is now thriving.

Now 17 year old who had one in his room as young as 11/12 now has a poor relationship with technology.

Yes, I just said basement and this is better advice. My kid is 18 now and considering you are talking about parental controls and wifi, I’ll assume yours is much younger. If you have space, do this.


+1 We would never allow a gaming PC in bedroom, but we've been having issues with kid in basement with gaming PC because we're not walking around there often enough to supervise and have been realizing that kid has gradually been finding a way around the various parental controls we've installed.
