The money at Notre Dame and a school like Northwestern, Duke and Vanderbilt comes from NCAA revenue sports. That’s what’s most important. They will never go back to requiring scores. They need the ability to recruit whoever they want to however they want to. The world is different now with the NCAA transfer portal than it was before 2020.
Wake up everyone. This has nothing to do with rankings.
Idiots.

There is somehting unique about midwest schools, Chicago, NU, and ND. Are these schools going to stay test optional for a longer period of time or possibly permanently?
This may be overlooked by many, but the article says about 30% of their REA admits did not submit scores. Notre Dame is a solid viable option for test optional kids.

You need to look up “liberal arts college.”

What does this have anything to do with being "woke?"
Although, you know, it's a Catholic institution. And Catholics are pretty damn woke. You heard of this Pope guy? WOKE.
You know who else was Woke? JESUS. All that crap about loving neighbors and feeding the poor. Also, he was a colored guy. WOKE.
You probably think you're so smart making this comment. What an idiot you are!

Agreed. And with the new AP Precalc exam, you can get AP scores in all four core subjects from kids taking a bog-standard college prep junior year schedule of AP Lang, APUSH, AP Physics 1, and AP Precalc. It’s a hair’s breadth away from being A Levels.
Anonymous wrote:I wonder if it’s the case that Midwest high schools don’t inflate GPA, so that the Midwest kids’ GPA actually predicts college success better. They admit a lot Midwest kids. [/quote
Midwest schools all inflate with exception to some Catholic high schools.

Anonymous wrote:Maybe because Notre Dame draws from such a large Catholic population they could do this. They probably have a long history with parochial schools.
