DC is having a great time at VT Engineering. But even the 'career expo' is kind of limiting...

It really is not at the same level at the scale of employees you would find at an university located around Boston, Chicago or even say Penn State.

They say 250+ companies in this fair, but many of these are defense contractors, gov/mil or local businesses. All good choices - but do know its not for all.

Yes, of course employers “trek” to campus for job fairs. VT is very well-known and highly thought of among employers.

Ridiculous. My DD attends VT (liberal arts) and one of her roommates is in Engineering. She loves it and I’ve never heard any inkling of “toxic male energy”. The girls have lots of friends, both male and female.

Perhaps the OP’s daughter should attend an all-women’s school.

VT has internships with lots of companies. Student needs to actively go to the applicable on campus internship / career events though.
