Harris didn’t attend the Congressional Address but the next day she did firmly shake his hand, looked him in the eyes with a RBF. She immediately stood at a press podium while Netanyahu was still standing close by and said:
“I will not be silent.”

"It is time to get this deal done” referring to a ceasefire and hostage release agreement.
“The humanitarian situation is devastating, do not become numb to the suffering.”

I think what's also stunning is how insular this administration is. Remember when state dinners included classical musicians, authors, poets? Interesting that this administration no longer reaches out to celebrities or what we used to think of as the intelligentsia. There's something very Soviet about this list -- the idea that many of the positions that previously would have been considered power centers in a democracy (like being a university president, a celebrated author, etc. ) are simply absent. No publishers, journalists. Previously, there would have been some academics who wrote about the Mid East, maybe someone who had been a Fulbrighter there, etc. The idea that instead it's just the president's lackies and his children. Weird.
