One of my dogs gets sick to the point of vomiting over the most minor stressors, and is on a strict, chicken-free, "dog food and approved treats only" diet. The other one could eat straight trash for weeks and be fine, if a bit gassier than usual. For most dogs, licking the teaspoon of leftover flavors off a plate isn't a big deal, nor is the occasional treat of leftover people food. If you have a dog who can't handle it, you'll know.
