That is blocked in the political forum. A lot of the words that are blocked because some jack off comes along and posts the same thing over and over again in every thread until I get tired of removing it and block it. That's what happened in this case. I can probably unblock it now.

This is OP. While I have no idea what this is, sometimes two-word phrases have gotten me banned. So, while either word is fine alone, the two together is bannable. Re the color orange and a snack food of the same color. I can't remember right now but I got a 24 hour time out for another phrase I copied from another poster.

They aren’t banned.

Hmmm, I attempted to post a reply in a thread. It led to a dead link page (not sure of actual term). I went back, copied the reply, attempted to post again. Twice. Both times, no go. Since Muslim and Arab were the only terms in the reply that could have conceivably been blocked, I hyphenated both - success.

I checked the log and your post was blocked because it contained the word "M*slim" (with the asterisk). I blocked that because I did not think that "Muslim" should be treated as a curse word. Another poster said that the asterisk was being inserted automatically. I have no idea why that would happen.

FWIW, Jeff, I spelled both words out (Arabs, Muslims). No asterisks.

Only through trial-and-error did I realize that one or both of those words appear to be banned by the site.

I don't know why this is happening. One poster said that asterisks were being put in automatically for some reason. I am going to tweak the rules a bit and see if that fixes things.

People do that because they think the website thinks Muslim or Muslims is a curse word.
