Have they had a good education? Yes. No problems on that front.
This is a choice.
All elementary school kids have an IB DCPS school within walking distance, and many of the middle and high school are accessible via transit.
My kids walked/biked to elementary and metro to middle and high school. I never drive them.

Right, which is why the PP telling you to stay in MCPS because the "logistical nightmare" of driving kids to school in DC is so much harder makes no sense. If you moved to DC, you would presumable move IB for schools you were happy with. IB students in DCPS can easily walk to school for elementary, and if their MS or HS is too far to walk, there are many public transit options, all of which are free to DCPS students. Transportation is easier in DC, not harder.

Rosemary Hills is a great school with 19 kids/class. CCES and NCC are good too for 3-5.

I never even set foot in the middle and high school when my kids were there. Functioned great for me and my kids.
Kids took the bus, walked, or I drove when I had time.
Older DC is in college now and doing very well. He got 30 credits transferred, has all As, and works part time. His choice to work as college is not hard right now.
Younger one loves Hardy and doesn't want to hear about going private or Walls.
You can always go private later if needed. You know your kids and needs do change.
Why don't they want to hear about going to walls? Are they panning on going to Macarthur? I'm asking this because my child at Hardy loves it there and wants to go to Macarthur because they think it will be like Hardy.
