This is nowhere near as true as it used to be. Back in my Bullis days, the admissions exam was that they put your folks in a room with a check and a pen and if they figured out what to do, you were admitted.

Who is “they”?

Bullis Admissions team.

The first “they” is admissions, the second “they” is parents.

This. Good luck getting into 9th grade....I'm very nervous for my son. We're at Norwood right now and Bullis is our top choice. Fingers crossed.

My DD is currently at Bullis and came from Norwood. DD is loving Bullis and was very well-prepared from Norwood. As long as your DD has good grades from Norwood, tell the Norwood 8th grade placement team that Bullis is your top choice and they will advocate for him/her. Also make it clear to Bullis that it is your top choice. Bullis has gotten way more selective and we know smart people who did not get in, but I think it will go a long way if you make clear from the start that Bullis is your first choice.

The teaching and learning in Bullis lower school is very strong but also very joyful. We’ve been at Bullis for several years in lower school and it’s been an exceptional experience. It’s far exceeded our expectations.
