DP here. I work in a school with a high immigrant population. It was and is shocking to me how differently the parents of these students view education, almost like it’s optional or there for their convenience. They are much less likely to attend Back to School Night or other school events and their children have much higher rates of absenteeism.

Agree. Unfortunately most corporate/government jobs do require some type of Bachelor degree.
