Minor clashes with boss

That doesn’t bode well. It’s early to have had a clash vs “clashes.”

What were they arguing about? I had friend who liked to work away from deals (coffee shops, conference room, etc) — found their desk stifling but boss wanted butts in seats even with good numbers. Even that small stake conflict, they were laid off within a year.

"Coffee shops" - suprised it took a year

I can’t recall “clashing” with a boss ever and I have been working for 20 years.

This early, there are no "minor" clashes.

This. You have to feel around to see if it’s normal.

If you are in an at will state doesn’t matter if there is a stated probationary period or not. Your partner is likely getting fired.

If my partner was about to lose his job, I'd be worried for him and our family, regardless of whether my job was easy.

Government is 1 full year probationary period. When promoted the clock starts again.

Most employers have 90 day probationary period. It is common.
