As a consequence, lots of locally inaccurate info being posted, substantially reducing the usefulness of the forum, I suggest people either indicate the area from which they are posting in their heading or move posts about how kids from a NYC high schooler fares to the subforum.

I think your complaint is actually a nonsense.
My kids were at Bethesda schools from 3rd-10th grade. They then attended public school in California and are attending college (first year now) in the UK
It doesn't matter where I'm living, because I have insights that are completely relevant and recent to Bethesda schools as well as the rest.
You should be glad that a boarder perspective is present and a wealth of actual information, not just narrow opinions stated by the same 3 moms whose kids graduated 10 yrs ago. And the weird man who talks about hot girls and such. I'm sure they're based in the DMV.
You obviously think that but you give horrible advice. Admissions from CA high schools is much different than the rest f the country because schools give CA applicants a pass on test scores. Also schools seek regional diversity and have different standards for each region.
You are embarrassing yourself now. Touch grass. Get a life. You don't control the board or the dialogue. If you find the CA discussion unhelpful, move on. You can walk away. I promise you can.
Do you have people to talk to in your life? If so, you might realize how inconsequential college admissions discussions are. You keep responding to your own posts in that 3.8uw thread. We really don't care that you think the NYers should leave. They aren't leaving. Maybe you should take a short break?
Please talk to your therapist. Your constant posts about this reek of mental illness. GL to you. We wish you well.
You are a truly lovely person, California mom. Would love to ignore you, but hard to do when you don't say you're posting from California. Perhaps I should be able to identify your posts by the level of smugness and unwarranted nasty attitude.
I also don't sockpuppet. I'm sure you are annoying more posters than just me.

What’s the point of a NY forum, which they presumably lobbied for, if they aren’t even going to use it for questions about experiences from NY high schools?
The NY forum isn't organized by category.
Is this site only intended for DC residents?
The assumption is that a poster is local unless they indicate otherwise. Not sure why that is so difficult for you or why you insist on asking questions specific to NY high schools in the general forum. Leads to garbage in and out .
I don't think that's the assumption of the "College & Universities" forum, which is cited frequently in other places online. It's how I found it. I don't go anywhere else on this site - ever.
I imagine we drive the traffic here from out of state. Why is that so difficult for you?
