Can you invite someone into your home and let them sit down on your furniture?

I live in a city and ride subways - I am positive I've sat in a subway seat recently vacated by homeless people. So I come in and always take off my pants. Then its like "well might as well be comfy and take off my bra too" and then "might as well go full comfy and take off everything!"
When I lived in the suburbs and drove everywhere, I just took off shoes upon coming inside.

I don’t wash feet anymore now but I always wear indoor clothes as soon as I get home.
