An acceptance rate of 91.8% (I just looked it up) is NOT good.

They give crazy merit aid. Starts at $40,000/year for students with above 3.3 gpa. Also several additional scholarships students can apply for. My son attends, and it was his least expensive option except for the one public in-state he got in to. He also got into other more competitive small schools (Denison, Franklin and Marshall, Lafayette), and they were 2x to 3x as much.
He's a sports guy so I can't speak to that aspect, but his girlfriend is neither sporty nor artsy and she likes it. They are both strong students and have "free" time to pursue interests beyond their classes, like research with professors and volunteering.
