It was embarrassing but I’m glad my derm checked it out. She said she’s had patients with cancerous moles in that area before.

Was it removed or just looked at?

She just looked at it and said it was fine. She probably took a photo to track any changes. I’m supposed to get yearly skin checks.

I have a fleshy growth of some sort. It doesn't seem quite like either mole or a skin tag. I've had it forever. Would love to have it removed, but haven't wanted to deal with it.

Mine tracks mine too. I just had one taken off by my plastic surgeon (does my other area wider margin mole removals). Your gynecologist should tell you if they see one but a dermatologist should be the specialist who manages. It is a skin issue not a "vagina" issue.

Was yours on mucosal skin?

Yes, and yes. I was told it was benign. It's not a big deal they are medical professionals and have seen plenty of moles in private areas.

You can have moles there, but you can also have little vein protrubences which look very similar - common after pregnancy.

I had a large mole in my pubic area. I had a dermatologist look at it when I was in my late 20s, and she removed it. After testing, it ended up being precancerous so she removed some more in the area. I never had a gynecologist say anything to me about the mole prior to that, so I'm glad I visited the dermatologist. Fortunately the area has been in the 20 years since, I just have a scar where no hair grows.
