I like buying good quality stuff that will last - I have had the same Fossil wallet for 20 years now, for example. Actually, I'm open to replacing it but can't find a trifold with a window on the outside, so the old one will do. Same makeup bag for at least 15 years. But my things are never expensive - always under $100. Brands don't really interest me. Logos are a turn-off.

This. I refuse to wear/ carry anything with a logo. When my car got rear ended last year, I asked the body shop not to replace the maker's emblem on the back. For some things-- especially cars, I was lucky-- it's almost impossible to avoid. But when I see people choosing flashy logos, my opinion of them plummets.

I dont even use a purse (unless for a fancy/dressy occasion) so I definitely do not care.

I have a couple of these. I only pull them out occasionally when I know I’m going to an event where women clock these things

I have not spent more thank $50 for a purse ever.

I am a multi-millionaire and the "purse" I use the most day-to-day is a reusable shopping tote I got for free from a hotel a few years ago. I don't recognize expensive purses on other people, I just don't know anything about that world.

Also a multi-millionaire female, and my most expensive bag is $89.

I can't understand spending so much money on a bag for a brand. And no, it's not about "quality" - you can get a bag of similar quality for a fraction.

Designer purses are heavy. I recognize it's fine leather but too heavy or bulky for my taste. Same with any metal embellishments.

If I like something and I can afford it, I spend money on it, I have a black YSL Sac de Jour and a Bottega pouch bag, I have had both for last 4 years and I enjoy them. I like well made things, often times well made things can be bought at much lower price points as well and I do buy those. Point is that I spend my money without thinking how someone else will perceive this purchase, I am an avid gardener and spend 2k every year on my garden, we all have our things we choose to spend money on. Buy what you like and is of good quality, who cares how "others" view your purchase.

I own expensive bags. I also own inexpensive bags. I treat both the same and would be annoyed if either were damaged.

To the majority of Americans, spending $300 on a purse is not possible much less $3000.

I have two that I thought I really wanted and I just never use them.

There are too many fakes and I would not want people to think I have a fake. Some more discreet ones like Celine are beautiful, but so are bags costing much less with a similar look. So it doesn't seem worth it to me unless money is truly not an object. I get good bags on The Real Real for 100 or less.
