Same. Seems like a huge waste of money. If you are spending more than that on a purse, you are doing it for the status and nothing else. It’s a purely functional item. Unless the expensive purse is Hermione’s magic bag, there is nothing that a $1000 purse can do that a $50, $100 purse can’t.
I like buying good quality stuff that will last - I have had the same Fossil wallet for 20 years now, for example. Actually, I'm open to replacing it but can't find a trifold with a window on the outside, so the old one will do. Same makeup bag for at least 15 years. But my things are never expensive - always under $100. Brands don't really interest me.
Logos are a turn-off.
This. I refuse to wear/ carry anything with a logo. When my car got rear ended last year, I asked the body shop not to replace the maker's emblem on the back. For some things-- especially cars, I was lucky-- it's almost impossible to avoid. But when I see people
choosing flashy logos, my opinion of them plummets.
