For example, I just looked at one of my client's Common App (I am added as an advisor, which means Read Only) and noticed that she did not add my previous suggestions and has already submitted many applications. I can give suggestions but I can't force a student to accept them. I also have a student who has a horrible habit of accidentally checking or unchecking a box when he goes in to fix a mistake. The final read-through has to be the kid's/family's responsibility before they hit submit.

Shouldn’t this always be the student’s choice? We talk about bad advice that should be ignored on these boards all the time. The last example was SH suggesting you title the EC related to cooking for a shelter as Cooking on Sundays! And you mention how it is to bring sustenance to those in need.

She thought I was going to manage the entire process and I’ve pushed back when she has brought that up. I’m only here to help with 3 sections and I have repeatedly made that clear. Now she wants a pdf review that I refuse to do — because of something her husband said that makes me think they will blame me if everything goes wrong. I’m washing my hands off this. No good deed ever goes unpunished!
It sounds like you don't want to do it regardless of money.

Kind of insulting unless you find a kind who is naive as to the price of app reviews.
I wouldn't expect a friend to charge market rate!
No one said anything about finding a friend. The suggestion was to find a smart admitted kid from mast year who got in and pay them an honorarium.

Is she paying you?
Op here. Nope! I did it as a favor.
Lesson learned.
That’s very pushy and rude to now ask you to do this.
They sound miserable.
And, as a parent that did all the reviews myself—with kid and husband—why are the parents so incompetent ???
