He has had a privileged life and help was always available for him. Zero empathy or sympathy. Just another whining rich spoiled brat.

I feel a lot of empathy for Tatum O'Neal, who has never given up on trying to get sober despite clearly having a very strong form of the disease and horrible, truly horrible, neglectful parents. John McEnroe does seem stable (if a hot head on the court). I know the kids went to Trinity in NY for high school and a friend attended Skidmore with Kevin. They're no dummies.

I got the impression he is very, very sensitive. He's also profoundly wounded. Sad article.

We had an alcoholic neighbor. His behavior was surreal.

After my experience with the neighbor, I can only imagine how much more worse it must be for the relatives under the same roof with an angry alcoholic.

I feel for Kevin. He was born into severe dysfunction and inherited the addictive genetic make-up. I hope he can overcome all of that and find peace and joy moving forward.

What is your point?
