I have one at Churchill and one at RM. Both schools offer AP Human Geography.

OP-- if you're at a school where APUSH is taught in 9th (typically), search this board for the threads. It's discussed ad nauseum every year on this board. If you're not at such a school (Churchill is a prominent one where tons of kids take APUSH in 9th), ignore this discussion. AP NSL is very feasible for 9th grade.

AP Gov is a 1 semester class in most of the country, so spread over an entire year, it is a good one for 9th graders to take.

AP USH is a freshman class at Churchill, where I'm told from my child that 40% of kids take it. They can choose between that and Honors USH, AP Gov is in 10th grade.

This. (AP CSP is fine in sophomore year, too.).

Whether the kid take Gov or USH during 9th grade depends on the school -- do what your school recommends so your kid is taking the course with peers. (There's a lot of discussion on this board of the pros/cons of the (really hard!) APUSH in 9th, but you kinda just gotta do what the others in your school are doing so it's pretty much a moot point.)

Mine took only AP Gov in 9th

0-2. Most common at our school are AP Gov and AP Computer Science Principles. The other option is AP Physics 1, for kids in Hon Alg 2 or higher. That’s a tough class and wouldn’t recommend for most kids, but for some it’s a good choice.
