I don’t know why you wanna talk to a financial advisor; they don’t have any thing to say in this situation. Get a divorce consult with an attorney; they can tell you an estimate of what you’re going to get.

Thank you very much! Now I need to find an attorney who is familiar with these-any pointers? As if the emotional aspect of divorce is not overwhelming enough(
It really sucks that at the times when you're dealing with the grief and intense emotions the most (break-ups, death) are when you are also required to do a ton of heavy lifting in terms of managing complex financial transactions and decisions. Wishing you the best.
