Yep. My mom is Korean, and she knows all about how much I make, what I'm invested in, and my net worth. We're just like that...

Nope. None of their business. All grandparents and siblings are doing fine, no competition, tbh, it's the next generation, the grand kids (all in college or grad school), that I am worried about

No, we have more money than my parents and sibling so it feels pretty uncomfortable. They obviously have a clue since my spouse and I are lawyers, but I don’t think they need to know specifics.

My parents always knew. My mom died and my dad knows now. One of my brothers knows but not the other. However no one but my father knows our net worth.

Nope, never discussed salaries and parents never asked. I did share with my mom when we paid our house off. I don’t know if she ever shared that fact with my dad.

I told my mom in her 80s this year. We grew up very modestly and I wanted her to be proud of how far I’ve come - largely thanks to her. And also to reassure her that she’ll be taken care of as needed in the future.

I don’t have any problem with this. Maybe a bit rude, but really helpful info if you are thinking of moving to a new pace, French or not.

My dad bluntly asked my husband what his salary was the first time they met, LOL. I am South Asian, DH is white. My parents know our salaries and what my siblings/their spouses make. My siblings and I do not discuss salaries among ourselves, just because it seems irrelevant to anything.

I’m a fed so it’s public.
