There are phrases that originate in porn or have sexual meaning that are not uncommon in normal life and workplace context. I wouldn’t think anything of it.

I’m a 35 year old woman who had no idea this phrase was a porn thing. I wouldn’t have even noticed.

I'm a teacher at a k-12 school. We had a Saturday fun event at which teachers were required to work last year, and I was paired with a kindergarten teacher at a stand where little kids threw balls at a target. She kept shrieking, "That was the money shot!" at the little kids every time one hit the target and won a prize. (I teach high school and my students would absolutely have snickered at this). So apparently there are naive adults out there who use this phrase innocently, OP.

OP here. Not a he. I’m a woman in my late 40s. Would never intentionally talk about porn in a job interview or anywhere else.

This particular phrase, I would not bat an eye. I might actually think you are a little naive for saying it because I would assume you didn’t know the “real” meaning or you wouldn’t have said it. I’d be like aww, how precious. Lol

This would give me pause. If you are a client facing role, what else might you let slip
