Ugh, that sounds terrible. We're not at Churchill but definitely have issues at our HS with kids using drugs.
Honestly, trying to cover it up or be dishonest about it isn't helping anyone. The school doesn't need to name the student, but it's reasonable for families to want to know if it was a drug-related emergency.

Yes, public records say cardiac arrest due to drug overdose. Really sad. Stop being nosy and say a prayer.

If PP's child is districted to this school, it is her/ his business.

Incorrect, another persons medical condition is private. If the child has a seizure or diabetic episode, it is none of your business.
That would be true if it is a medical condition such as this. But if a kid was shooting up in the bathroom, that's an entirely different matter. It's a separate issue from a 'medical emergency' though in this case the two coincided.

If you feel as if it is your business to know another child’s medical emergency, feel free to publicly post your own child’s medical records here for everyone else to see.
Names do not need to be named, the drug issue needs to be spelled out and parents made aware so it is stopped before another emergency or worse happens.

Monitor your own kid.

Why? It has nothing to do with your child.
