Small favor: I’m all for the protests, but encouraging folks to honk their horns is distracting and dangerous to other drivers when traveling at highway speeds.

It’s not a sound bite. Statistically, demographically, these “protests” are largely white and middle aged people.


Because, yeah, middle aged white people have a bubble of protection around them from ICE. We're privledged and we can take the risk of being there.


Middle aged and white is also one of Trump's most reliable demographics, so it's nice to see the pushback.

I went to the one at NIH. There was a very good turnout — which was nice, given the huge one in DC and smaller ones nearby in Chevy Chase and Friendship Heights, and those are just the ones that I’m aware of.

It would be interesting to look at the history of civil rights movements in this country. Did MLK Jr, or Susan B Anthony accomplish all their goals immediately?

If not, wouldn't that be a bizarre metric to measure this one by?
