Well, he is a scheming SOB that played a large part in our current downfall, but I'm actually remarking that in the past when someone like a McConnell or a Feinstein left Congress it would be a pretty big deal, much talked about, etc.

Lindsey Graham is trying to get Thune to push a stand alone budget bill passed for uniform DoD. It’s a bet that the democratic senators will not hold out their vote to pay the military. If this works, then thune will just have independent budget bills for the different agencies.
How the budget is supposed to work. Last done in 2008.
