Saw the ending. Weird, surreal. Strangely satisfying.

So we are watching it now. The Ed Gein voice is soooo creepy. And my palms were sweating when Adeline ran home and he followed her. Not getting murdered by him was an accomplishment of sorts.
After the arrest sort of a letdown. We see the ending this evening.
I liked the images of the Gein house, Psycho scenes, intertwined.

I generally like horror and true crime, and I love Hitchcock. I have a strong stomach. This show was too much for me. I think in general Ryan Murphy is using these Monster series to try to make a connection between societal sexual repression and the production of violence, but it’s a tenuous case at best. Some people are horrific outliers. Hopefully we do a better job identifying them and getting them into therapeutic settings today.

Reminded me of Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade. I actually didn’t realize it was Charlie Hunnam! I loved him in Sons of Anarchy but I guess I haven’t seen him in awhile and didn’t recognize him in this. I didn’t love this documentary, stopped watching after a few episodes.

This was definitely not a documentary.
