Because laws are changing rapidly in red states that affects any student going to college in a red state.

Project 2025 impacts college admissions for minorities and women. And if you think this is a good thing think again.

Project 2025 & BBB ACT & layoffs & RFK Jr's crap will all affect colleges.

+1

Plus, MAGAs have infested DCUM, including this forum.

Not sarcasm, that’s exactly what it is. Competition for status. It’s what primates do.

All false. No one cares. The reason this subforum is nasty is because of insecure, competitive moms.

Possibly true, but I'd bet instead that the nastiness predominantly emanates from dads insecure about their relative underachievement in life. A lot of snarky lawyers who make decent money but aren't really rich.

Because competitive parents are insecure about the abilities of their kids. It brings out all kinds of meanness—especially tearing other kids and their parents down. It isn’t even just anonymously, there are parents of my son’s friends who were too hard to be around senior year of high school.

What the hell are you babbling on about? Those are the reasons why the "College and University Discussion" board on DCUM is so toxic? Maybe it's because all of the liberal moms who frequent this board are obnoxious hypocrites, anxious strivers who are desperate for their kids to be 1 percenters.

Indeed. Too many parents can only live through their children. They don't have anything else to do

It's because the mass immigration of grinder engineers who are obsessively Ivy conscious for their social circles have upset the normal patterns of college admissions.

When you need them, they are the "model minority." You have them come all the way from India to build the information highway for you.

When the job market is bad, you blame them hate them.
