And most pcp these days are referring patients who absolutely need glp-1 meds for obesity out to weight loss clinics as the paperwork for glp-1 meds can be overwhelming and pcp offices don't have the time to deal with it. So ... good luck. But I hear the shady online weight loss clinics will do it.
This hasn’t been my experience. I told my excellent double board certified physician that I wanted to try it and got immediate support and encouragement. Side effects are very minimal and you won’t need to be on it more than two months for20 lb loss. It has other benefits too, so it’s a win win.

However, if you only have 20 lbs to lose that means you are not likely to stay on it for life and I can tell you from experience, and backed by the research, that if you can not change your habits enough to lose 20 lbs then you will not maintain that fat loss and regain it quickly as soon as you go off the medication..
You’re so dramatic. I quit cold turkey 6 months ago and DH did 10 months ago. Neither of us has gained more than 2 pounds that fluctuate daily. I lost about 30 pounds and he lost around 90.

I've maintained a similar weight loss for almost two years on a low maintenance dose. I stretch my online order. Not hard.
