It's certainly awful that people are out of work. But that's always the case to some degree. And so in this situation I'd ask: what's the alternative you're suggesting? Or are you just griping because you read some economic headline?

Unemployment is the highest it has been in years and it is rising like the Ocean at high tide in a hurricane.

Spare us your uninformed take.

The $ is diminishing as I type. All because of the criminal traitor who never once made a business successful.

And Republicans who want to burn the economy to the ground.

What do you not understand about North Korea and dictatorships?

Unemployment has increased to 4.3% from a 10yr low of 3.6%. If you speak this dramatically with your spouse, I pity them.

Where are the people who want to work?

Then you’re doing your job poorly.

Up the pay. You will find people who want to work - just not for the pay you are offering.

Unemployment is not higher than it has been in years. It is slightly higer than recent times. By any historical standard you would not call it low but you would not call it high. It is not rising that fast either. You do not get to make up your facts just because the other guy does.

Read up on the concept of the “wealth pump”. It’s basically the mechanism that pulls wealth from the general population to the elites in our society, creating inequality that eventually topples over.
